I've got a bunch of brown bananas in the fruit bowl, seems a shame to throw them out but I don't fancy eating them. What should I do with them?

Hi Monkey Magic,

welcome to the forum.

Firstly, can I suggest that you don't keep your bananas in the fruit bowl, they release a gas as they ripen that makes everything else ripen too quickly (handy if you have some hard pears or an unripe mango but not so good generally).

Secondly, don't throw them out they are perfect for baking with, if you only have 1 or 2 you can make banana flapjacks (I'll try and find a recipe for you) or if you have 3-4 then why not try the banana and walnut loaf, it's really tasty and lasts for ages, that's snacks sorted for the week!
