What's in Season July
July is approaching peak season, the early veg is trailing off but the main crop is full. Enjoy veg rich dishes and hearty salads to fill you up but keep you cool in the heat. Salade Nicoise is a perfect supper dish, add a bit of feta cheese or grilled chicken to whatever veg you fancy, dress it and take it into the garden to enjoy the long evenings.
Enjoy the berries too, they should be really sweet by now - oh and the samphire won't last much longer so make the most of it, pair with a bit of simply cooked fish and a drizzle of lemon and butter.
