What's in Season June
June is a bountiful month with a rainbow of veg on offer. Make mediteranean dishes that require lots of different kinds of these like ratatouille and Sicillian veg stew. The Welsh lamb is out with all it's great flavour, eat it simply with new pots and broad beans on the side. The berries are bursting with ripeness, put them in everything from smoothies to ice cream, in pies, as snacks, in a glass of prosecco or just simply with a drizzle of cream. It is also the strta of Gooseberry season, one of our quirkier national fruits, make a traditional fool with them or a sorbet, they are the king of sorbet fruits!
