What's in Season

November

BeetrootBonfire night bangers and Slow sunday roasts with more parsnips than you think you'll need (their caramel sweetness is very more-ish).

Beetroots are back in force too and are lovely roasted, cooled and mixed with creme fraiche for a wintry salad. They take ages to cook (2.5 hours in a 140C oven, loosely wrapped in foil) so pop them in on a quiet Sunday afternoon or weeknight and eat them cold during the week with smoked mackerel and baked potatoes or lentils and bacon.
