Easy Perfect rice everytime

Perfect fluffy rice everytime.

  • 1 cup white basmati rice
  • 1.5 cups Water/Stock
  • Salt
  • butter (optional)
Method/steps
  1. Bring your water/stock to the boil with the salt.
  2. Once boiling add your rice and give it a quick stir with a fork to make sure the rice is broken up properly.
  3. Let the water start to bubble again then cover the pan with the lid that has a tea towel wrapped around it. (this will absorb moisture)
  4. turn the heat right down and cook for 10 minutes
  5. Once the time is up turn the heat completely off and leave it to stand for 5 minutes. Leave the lid on this will be absorbing the steam.
  6. after 5 minutes remove the lid and get a fork and fluff up the rice with a little bit of butter or just the fork.
